Don’t let automation and integration limit flexibility, delegates warned

Don't let automation and integration limit flexibility

With ink still drying on the Christmas 2015 retail reports, Automated Packaging Systems will demonstrate to delegates at next month’s Delivery Conference that market-leading automated packing is now a feasible reality for all.

To underline its message, the mail order fulfilment specialist is taking the smallest in its range – the PS 125 OneStep – to a new eCommerce audience.  The system is proven in a host of mail order fulfilment applications, offering multiple semi-automated packing points in integrated pick-and-pack operations throughout Europe and the US.

Mail order packaging specialist Martin Richards explains: “This is the first time we’ve taken systems to The Delivery Conference.  Its timing in the post-Christmas evaluation period, and the calibre of both speakers and delegates, gives us a great opportunity to talk to the industry about automating packing operations that, until now, have relied on hand bagging to cope with multiple sites, product lines and pack sizes.”

The PS 125 OneStep is a highly flexible, easy-to-use, desktop-sized bagger that operates at speeds up to 15 bags per minute into bags up to 27cm wide and 43cm long, and has a built-in print capability.   Address labels are printed directly onto poly bags, which are automatically indexed, loaded by hand, then sealed using the Push-to-Seal™ automated sealer function, a standard footswitch, or via automatic cycle control.

For those looking for reliable protective packaging and void-fill, experts on the company’s AirPouch systems will also be on hand throughout the event.

The conference, hosted by MetaPack, takes place from 8am to 7.30pm on Tuesday 2nd February 2016 at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, London SSE1 7UT. Retailers are free to attend, please visit www.thedeliveryconference.com for more information.
